Skyrim was developed using the Creation Engine, rebuilt specifically for the game. The team opted for a unique and more diverse game world than Oblivion's Imperial Province of Cyrodiil, which game director and executive producer Todd Howard considered less interesting by comparison. The game was released to critical acclaim, with reviewers particularly mentioning the character development and setting, and is considered to be one of the greatest video games of all time. Three downloadable content (DLC) add-ons were released—Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn—which were repackaged into The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Legendary Edition, which was released in June 2013. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Special Edition, a remastered version of the game, was released for Windows, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in October 2016, which includes all three DLC expansions and a graphical upgrade, along with additional features such as modding capabilities on consoles. Versions for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation VR are planned for release in 2017. This full video review of Elder Scrolls V Skyrim on Nintendo Switch features long gameplay clips of docked mode with some handheld mode also show. I explain how to find the Zelda Breath of the Wild gear without needing Amiibo. Story, graphics, and port quality are all covered in this review and then it is given a rating. The Legend of Zelda Outfits and Weapons – Tap compatible The Legend of Zelda character amiibo to gain outfits and gear inspired by the series. Take down enemies with the Master Sword, protect yourself with the Hylian shield, or look heroic in the Champion’s Tunic. Tap other compatible amiibo to gain additional loot. Compatible amiibo include those from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild series, 30th Anniversary — The Legend of Zelda series, Super Smash Bros. series, and The Legend of Zelda series.
Motion Controls: Use all-new motion controls for combat and lockpicking – battle with melee weapons, aim your bow and arrow, and more. In this video I show you how to do each of the motion control fuctions with the joy cons.

  2. Quake SRK:

I just wish it wasnt 60

    • the_randomizer:

      Amazon Prime 20% off

    • BenG:

Target Black Friday has it for $15 on PS4/Xbox while Walmart is doing $20 I think. Now I actually don’t mind not having Skyrim on Switch because there’s already Zelda and Xenoblade but still it’s crazy to walk in those stores and seeing the price difference. I don’t see Skyrim on Switch selling well. Still a great achievement nonetheless.

    • AllHailShadow117:

Quake SRK same, if I purchase Skyrim a third time it has to be on sale.

  3. Ryuko Chan!:

Meanwhile Rime runs at 5fps 720p.

  4. Guts:

Last week we had DOOM, now we have Skyrim SE, November is a great month for Switch’s 3rd party.
I hope Switch will get more big 3rd party titles next year.

  5. YourMeanTeacher:

Why is this guy’s reviews so fair?

  6. Try hard Gameplay:

Can’t wait to get this game on my switch

  7. Tom Adam:

Nobody seems to be mentioning though that other than the ability to play on the go both this and doom are inferior versions of games that have been out for a while and are being sold on the switch for full price! Both skyrim and doom are better on all current platforms and cheaper than on the switch. The switch versions should be a discount price.

  8. Staggard:

Dark Souls 1 would be awesome on Switch.

  9. Peter Parker:

Skyrim is the most over hyped game in history.

    • Prodigy:

the original version was amazing for its time idk what your on about. There were very few games back then that could match it in terms of complete freedom and playability.

    • FATJESUSONABIKE:

Yeah it’s overrated. It’s a good game, and got a lot better with mods, but the original version was a 7/10 at best.

    • Airforce Gamer:

brent jones gta is not repetitive though lol, gun fights and races are always fun, Skyrim it’s just mash r1 over and over again

    • Cmonkey1980:

Also there are shouts and race powers. Everything in the game can potentially change how you attack a specific fight. Just because my guy may be magic, doesn’t mean I won’t possibly summon a bound dagger when the magic is running low to try and stab my way out of it. And vice versa for my melee characters. I do agree that stealth is a little too OP in this game, but I’ve got a mod that slows how fast it levels up.

    • Cmonkey1980:

At harder difficulty levels, especially early game, you need to decide how best to go about combat, assuming you aren’t ambushed. When you run out of potions (as you will do on the harder levels), you have to really get creative on how to survive. Can’t just go in «guns blazing». And magic has a ton of different spells (I did download a mod to give me even more though) that don’t just require holding L2/R2. I died so many times trying to help Golldir clear his family tomb before I realized I just wasn’t up to the task yet. And I tried everything, using most things in my inventory. I am slightly bummed that the Switch version won’t allow mods, because even on the PS4 I have a good collection that really enhance the game for me, but still, the base game in itself is so good, I’m strongly considering buying it.

  10. RudyJSC:

First, and always excited to see you this early.

  11. Andrew The YouTube Noob:

Who plays in third person? …it’s so clunky

    • TorkManix:

Andrew The YouTube Noob I haven’t had too much trouble targeting but then again I do a lot of melee combat. One step too far and I lose sight of my opponent in first person. It might be different fight styles we use.

    • Andrew The YouTube Noob:

TorkManix in skyrim it is far too distracting how awful the animation on the main character is. ..I also found it more difficult to accurately hit the opponents in battle.

    • TorkManix:

I play third person, it’s nice to be able to see what’s around me instead of the narrow view of first person.

    • Light23K:

Me. I tried first person and it didn’t feel good. I never like first person games much anyways.

    • Braddah Spliff:

I play in third person depending on the build. If I’m a tank character, I play in third person because I can rush into a group of enemies & track them all around me. If I’m playing with bows, first person is the best view.

  12. Greg Allen:

This game is 5 years old

  13. SamPlushyFive:

I don’t really liked Skyrim. I don’t get why some people say it’s one of the greatest games of all time. I don’t find it fun at all but TEDIOUS. Story is meh. Characters are weird, stiffy and bland. Graphics and Gameplay are okay. But i admit the atmosphere and soundtrack while you’re journeying from one place to another is so awesome! But that’s pretty much it really. But hey, it may just be my taste tho. But if anyone of ya’ll who liked the game, can you help me like this game more? Am i not playing it with the right mindset?

P.S. I do love RPG games btw but I mostly stick around because of the plot. So there’s that hehe..

    EDIT: Had to put ‘P.S.’..

    • Pandacakez:

The Elder Scrolls have always been «Side quest: The Video Game». You sound like someone who prefers a more straight-ahead approach to games rather than branching off and doing a bunch of different things.
The main quest line hasn’t been great since Morrowind, so being disappointed with Skyrim’s lacking main quest is understandable, it’s just not the thing for you.
      You do you.

    • SamPlushyFive:

Braddah Spliff i usually skip the reading part tho as im not fond at reading myself hehe.. and on my playthrough i dont really care about side quests and random encounters as im focused playing out the main story.. dont really cared much about the lore and back stories tho.. ahh so maybe that’s where im lacking.. ill get to that once i play the game again haha

    • Light23K:

I kinda agree with you. To me a great games has to have great gameplay and Skyrim doesn’t have it. A great game to me is Zelda breath of the wild. Great gameplay, likable characters, great exploration and a great good story IMO. We play games is to have fun and not to fight with the gameplay rot progress the story. If I want a great story, I’ll watch a great movie.

  14. The Comedic Mage:

I really want an Oblivion Switch port.

  15. o c e a n m a n:

Patiently waiting Skyrim release on my calculator

  16. Beavernator:

Looks like I’m finally gonna play Skyrim… I held out this whole time…

  17. d:

The same game with all the bugs

    • Anas Bakhit:

      d
why the hell not? actually the bugs is also have a role of why this game is hilariously fun XD
if I have the ps4 version I think I will gonna fill the capture gallery with screen shots and video clips about the glitches I will find.

  18. RockYeahh:

It’s nice to hear they used the gyro motion controllers for aiming like Breath of the Wild. 🙂

  19. chosen toaster:

Is the full game on the cartridge? Or do we need an install like la nore?
